I have watched a youtube video titled „7 habits of highly successful artists“ by Andrew Price.
Here is a short summary:
- # 1 daily work ...work each day …
- # 2 volume not perfection ... do not strive for absolute perfection in each painting but produce more paintings in a given period because your work will improve faster that way (learn more from your mistakes etc) ...
- # 3 steal like an artist ... (the way Austin Kleon meant it) take what you like from other artists and transform it into something new ...
- # 4 conscious learning ... do not just produce and keep repeating your mistakes but work on your weaknesses ( and strengths) consciously ...
- # 5 rest ... take breaks and get away from your work after a period of time, do something else and then come back with a fresh look at your works ...
- # 6 get feedback ... get feedback to find your weaknesses and get motivation ...

Sounds plausible ....
